Baby Shower Favor Bags

Sharing is caring!

Baby showers are so fun! Once you have played games and new mom has opened gifts, it will be time for the guests to leave. Mom to be has felt all the love from friends and family. You’ve taken pictures, shared yummy baby shower foods, played baby shower games, passed out baby shower game prizes, and stocked up on diapers for the new parents.

To thank people for coming to the baby shower you hosted for your friend or family member, you’ll probably want to give the guests something to take home with them.

To give you some ideas, we’ve looked at baby-themed gifts and baby-sized gifts, and we’ve tried to spread the price point from cents up to a handful of dollars. You can mix things up as much as your budget and imagination allow.

We’ve even included some ideas which look like imaginative gifts for friends and family, but are actually included for your benefit.

Finally, we have a suggestion for adding that super-personal touch to the bag. And no, it doesn’t involve learning calligraphy so that you can write fancy labels. You’re going to be busy enough already…

Mini Champagne Bottles

Get these in bulk and divide them among the favor bags. They’re a nice touch to help your loved ones celebrate the birth of your baby from the comfort of their own homes.

Cocktail / Mocktail Decorations

This is a 150-piece kit of swizzle stick and paper parasols. Put two swizzles and an umbrella in each bag and use the rest at your party.

This adds a nice touch when added to a sweet treat. We love using these as skewers for chocolate covered fruit placed in a small clear plastic food bag.

Jelly babies

Bundle a handful of these into tissue paper and tie with a ribbon! They’re sweet. They’re thematic, they’ll weigh down the bag, but won’t break the bank. You might also want to get some vegan sweets or chocolates for those who can’t eat gelatin.

Angel Bookmarks

These are pretty and don’t commit you to a blue/pink theme. Buy a couple of sets for up to 12 guests.

These would work well for a book themed baby shower.

Here are some slightly more neutral or durable treats which your guests will still appreciate as your way of saying thank you.

Wine Bottle Stopper

The

In this set are ten heart-topped stoppers, which are designed to fit all bottle types. The grippy wedge is made of food-grade silicone. They’re pretty, they look affectionate, they’re durable, and they’re nicely functional, too. Speaking of which, there’s also this option…

Rose Gold Bottle Opener with Tag Card and Drawstring Sheer Bags

There are 60 items in this set, which may seem like overkill. However, But if you have a lot of guests and a lot of jelly babies (don’t forget the vegan sweets too), then this is a two-in-one token gift suitable for the number of people you have present.

They can take a key for their partners, too. Bottle openers will always be useful. You can keep the rest in a dry place until your not-so-little-one comes of age.

Full Face Facial Mask Sheet

If you’re able to plan far enough ahead to order these, then these face packs are awesome. They leave your skin soft, smooth, refreshed and—at least for a few hours—less lined.

12 Cactus Tea-light Candles

Are these cute, or what? The arrival of a tiny person deserves the burning of a tiny candle. These are quirky and they smell beautiful.

Again, though, it’s not rocket-fast delivery. You might want to plan ahead or pick a similar item which can ship faster. These look so nice, though. The wax craftmanship is exquisite.

Saavy Naturals Organic Soap Bar Set

These pretty little gift soaps are vegan, we’re happy to say. They’re also free of:

  • Phthalates
  • Phenoxyethanol
  • Parabens
  • PEGsPropylene
  • Petroleum products
  • Artificial colors, or Glycerol.

And hey, if you have any left-over items from any of the larger packs bought to put your bags together, maybe you can offer an item as a prize to whoever can read that list out in one go.

Fun gifts which are actually for mom to be…

Pick the cutest shapes out of this kit and put one in each bag. Maybe your baby shower guests will bring over some cookies when they make their first visit. Your taste buds and your partner will enjoy this sweet treat, especially when you hit those sleepless nights.

Hug appointment vouchers. You can use beautiful font on nice quality unlined flashcards and declare that your pal or family member is entitled to a huge baby hug soon after the big day. This is actually a really good way of lining up brief social engagements which will both:

get you back in touch with other adults

free up your hands for an hour so you can finish a cup of tea or coffee before it goes cold. This is more of a challenge in the first month than you might expect.

Finally, that super-personal touch

This is a really sweet idea, but you will need the guest of honor’s help!

Put a photo of the guest to be and a particular guest into their bag. It’s nice to spend some nostalgic time looking back over old photos, and by the end of it, mom-to-be may feel ready to handle that next huge change in her life, knowing exactly who’s in her corner.
